LICKING COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Katelyn Grove and Donzel Evans, both of Newark, Ohio, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal single-vehicle crash in Licking County Saturday morning.
Grove, 24 and 31-year-old Evans, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
According to reports, Evans was operating a Dodge Ram 1500 in Hanover Township, when for unknown reasons, the pickup crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then made contact with a grouping of trees.
Evans was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Grove was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
