AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Adam Corey Maxwell, of Greenville, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday morning motorcycle crash in Augusta County.
Maxwell, 38, was killed in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning near Pastures.
According to Virginia State Police, Maxwell was operating a Suzuki motorcycle on Deerfield Valley Road near US-250 in Pastures, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 12:05 a.m. Sunday. The bike then came into contact with a boulder.
Maxwell, who was ejected during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
