POINSETT COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Preston Caine Brayfield of Kansas City, Missouri, has been identified as the road worker killed by a vehicle in Poinsett County, Arkansas Saturday night.
Brayfield, 22, was killed Saturday night in an Interstate 555 vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision near Tyronza.
According to emerging reports, Brayfield was working on the side of I-555, when for unknown reasons, a Chevrolet Impala crossed centerlines and into divider barrels where the victim was working. The vehicle then rolled over before coming to a rest in a field around 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
The unidentified Impala driver suffered unknown injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Preston was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
