BUTLER COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Sally Gecks of Cincinnati, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night single-vehicle crash in Butler County.
Gecks, 65, was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Fairfield Township on Wednesday night.
According to reports, Gecks was operating a Toyota Corolla in the 2300 block of Canal Road near Eastridge Drive in Hamilton, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole and rolled over.
Gecks, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
