DEKALB COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Mimi Jan Luna, of Gaylesville, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday vehicle crash in DeKalb County.
Luna, 52, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Collinsville on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, Luna was operating a Jeep Wrangler on CR-83, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway on Tuesday morning. The vehicle then flipped over near Sand Rock.
Luna was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Luna, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
