GENESEE COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Elijah Coombs of Oakfield, New York, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Genesee County, New York Monday night.
Coombs, 25, was killed in a single-vehicle crash that also injured two other people Sunday night near Bergen.
According to reports, Coombs was operating a vehicle on Route 262 near Bergen, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 7 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole.
Jamie Bachorski, 26, of Oakfield, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Samantha Wade, 21, of Byron, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Combs was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
