BOYNTON BEACH, FL. (THECOUNT) — Jones Philippe, of Delray Beach, has been identified as the suspect arrested Saturday morning in the shooting death of a Boynton Beach woman.
Philippe, 21, was taken into custody after a woman was found shot dead during a possible burglary in Boynton Beach early Saturday.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of shots fired on Platina Avenue, in the Platina Community in Boynton Beach Saturday shortly after 1 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a woman suffering from fatal gunshot injuries.
Philippe was arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and burglary.
The victim was not identified by officials.
Phillipe will make his first court appearance Sunday morning.
