DEKALB COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Edward Nealey, of DeKalb, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday afternoon single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County.
Nealey, 33, was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in DeKalb Township.
According to officials, Nealey was operating a vehicle on Malta Road near Nelson Road, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole causing it to flip over multiple times before coming to a rest in a field.
Nealey, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
