ONONDAGA COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Zechariah Brown, of Syracuse, New York, has been identified as the teen victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash Wednesday in Onondaga County.
Brown, 18, who was inducted into the 1,000 point club in December 2019 for his play on the basketball court for the Westhill Warriors, was killed in a Wednesday single-vehicle crash.
The Westhill Central School District student was operating a vehicle on Route 695 near the town of Geddes, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then rolled over multiple times before coming to a rest.
An unnamed 19-year-old passenger was uninjured in the crash.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
