WEST ASHLEY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Deputy Jeremy Ladue, of the Charleston County sheriff’s Office, has been identified as the victim in a double-fatal crash in West Ashley early Monday morning.
Ladue, 29, of Moncks Corner, and another unidentified motorist, were killed in a two-vehicle crash early Monday in Charleston.
According to the department, Ladue was on-duty operating his cruiser, when another vehicle came into contact with the patrol car near Savannah Highway and Savage Road in West Ashley around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
The driver of the other vehicle has not yet been identified.
Ladue served with the Sheriff’s Office since February 2019 and patrolled the agency’s West Ashley district, officials said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
