LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Kody Weaver, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday morning in Lancaster County.
Weaver, 24, was killed while walking in the area of US-222 Saturday morning in East Cocalico Township.
According to reports, Weaver was on-foot in the area of US-222, when he was struck and killed by a passing vehicle around 4 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Berks County driver, who remained on scene and fully cooperated with arriving officials, said he attempted to avoid Weaver, but could not.
Weaver was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unclear why Weaver was in the roadway.

The cause of the death remains under investigation.
