SHREVEPORT, LA. (THECOUNT) — Terry Wayne Davis of Shreveport, Louisiana, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday morning.
Davis, 57, was killed while on-foot in an early Saturday morning crash on Interstate 20.
According to reports, Davis was walking on I-20 near Fairfield Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, when he was struck and killed by a vehicle operated by 53-year-old Rosalez Anastacio.
Anastacio told police he thought he hit something, but he was not sure what, while traveling along the interstate. He claimed he stopped his vehicle however did not see anything.
After arriving at his place of work, Anastacio noticed damage to his vehicle and proceeded to contact Shreveport police.
Anastacio was transported to the Shreveport Police Complex where agreed to submit to chemical testing.
Investigators do not suspect impairment at this time.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
