PEMBROKE PINES, FL. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Sanchez Aguilar and Jamal Corleto has been identified as the victims in a double-motorcycle crash in Pembroke Pines overnight.
Aguilar, 22, was killed, and 19-year-old Corleto, seriously injured, in a crash involving two motorcycles driving the same direction early Tuesday morning.
According to officials, Aguilar and Corleto were operating motorcycles on Sheridan Street near NW 172nd Ave, when for unknown reasons, Aguilar made contact with Corleto around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Both riders were thrown from their bikes during the collision.
Aguilar was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Corleto was transported to an area hospital where is was listed in serious condition.
Pembroke Pines police said charges may be filed based upon the final outcome of the Traffic Unit’s investigation, reports MIAMICBS.
It is unclear if both victims were riding the motorcycles together.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
