BARRON COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Nathan Hecker, of Stone Lake, Wisconsin, has been identified as the victim in a fatal logging machine accident Monday afternoon.
Hecker, 56, was killed on Monday afternoon after becoming pinned between the claws of a log skidder.
According to Barron County Sheriff’s, the accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. Monday in a wooded area west of Barron near Highway 8 and Highway TT.
Hecker was repairing a piece of equipment on a log skidding machine when he got pinned between the cab and engine compartment, reports WQOW.
Hecker was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the death remains under investigation.
According to records, Hecker was the owner of Tree Huggers.
