CREEK COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Gregory Scott Barnhart, of Poteet, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Creek County, Oklahoma late Thursday afternoon.
‘Greg’ Barnhart, 52, was killed Thursday in a motorcycle crash Thursday near Sapulpa, OK.
According to officials, Barnhart was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on 61st St. South and 103rd West Ave near Sapulpa, when for unknown reasons, he failed negotiate a curve around 4 p.m. Thursday.
His motorcycle was “laid down on its side” and departed the roadway to the right before coming to a rest on the side of the road, reports KFOR.
Barnhart was thrown from his motorcycle during the violent crash.
Barnhart was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
A crash report states the cause of the crash was due to “unsafe speed.”
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
