DALLAS, TX. (THECOUNT) — A man has been injured after another man allegedly cut his throat with a box cutter while they waited for a Greyhound bus in Dallas, Texas around 11:30 Monday night.

The two men, who did not know each other, were waiting at the Greyhound station inside the terminal, located at, 205 S Lamar St, in Dallas, TX, when the attacker took out a box cutter and cut the victim’s throat, according to Dallas Police.

Security guards at the bus station quickly tackled the suspect and detained him before police arrived, who arrested him on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, reports KTXS.

Police told us they do not believe the two men knew one another and the attack appears to be random. Officers also said they believe the suspect may be a psychiatric patient.

Reports say, the victim was not critically injured and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
