GREENSBORO, NC. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Irvin, of Greensboro, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal auto-versus-motorcycle crash late afternoon Sunday.
Irvin, 35, was killed in a motorcycle crash in Greensboro around 4:20 p.m. Sunday.
According to officials, Irvin was operating a Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle on Vandalia Road, near Tolar Drive, when he collided with a Ford Flex who was performing a left hand turn Sunday afternoon.
Irvin was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Police believe excessive speed played a factor in the crash, reports MyFox8.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
