LONDON, UK. (THECOUNT) — Singer Lana Del Rey has cancelled her entire European and UK tour citing an undisclosed illness.
The singer announced the news “with regret”, citing illness as the reason.
“Sorry to let everyone down so last minute but this illness has taken me by surprise and have totally lost my singing voice,” she said. “Dr has advised four weeks off for the moment. I hate to let everyone down but I need to get well. Love Lana.”
Rumors coming from sources within the music world speculated ‘soft ticket sales,’ as another possible reason for the cancellation.
For refunds, customers are advised to contact their original point of purchase. There is currently no word on when the shows will be rescheduled.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the singer will be playing the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, which is being headlined by Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift. She last played the event in 2014, reports Independent.
Other festivals Del Rey is set to play include Coachella in April and Primavera in May.
