Chilling 1981 Dean Koontz Novel Predicted Coronavirus Down To Exact Location!

WUHAN, CHINA. (THECOUNT) — Top selling American author Dean Koontz is trending on Social media Tuesday over his early 80s novel, ‘The Eyes of Darkness,’ after the book correctly predicted the current coronavirus, or COVID-19, down to the very city that is believed to be the origin of the outbreak.

Koontz penned the suspense thriller in 1981 and may have unwittingly penned a stark prophecy about the current Novel Coronavirus epidemic that would be unleashed on the world almost 40 years later.

The Eyes of Darkness mentions a Chinese military lab outside of the city of Wuhan, where a deadly virus is invented as part of the country’s biological weapons warfare programme. Owing to the lab’s location, the virus is named ‘Wuhan-400,’ reports DNAIndia.

This chilling coincidence did not go unnoticed on Twitter, as users pointed out the stark similarities of the novel’s events to the real-life drama playing out worldwide.

Wuhan, the center of the outbreak, which Chinese officials claim broke out from a seafood market, also houses China’s only level-four biosafety laboratory that studies the deadliest of viruses. The facility is just miles from the epicentre of the current coronavirus outbreak.
