CORAL GABLES, FL. (THECOUNT) — WBA Super Featherweight Champion boxer Gervonta “Tank” Davis, remanded himself into custody, after a video emerged showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend in Florida, officials said.
According to officials, Davis, 25, turned himself over to the Coral Gables Police Department and is charged with simple battery and domestic violence.

Davis posted a statement to his Instagram account after the video went viral on social media Sunday: “I never once hit her. Yeah, I was aggressive and told her ‘Come on’…That’s the mother of my child. I would never her other than that.”
