FRANKLIN, CT. (THECOUNT) — Clarence Montgomery, of Ledyard, CT., has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night two-vehicle crash in New London County.
Montgomery, 59, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Franklin on Wednesday night.
According to officials, Montgomery was operating a vehicle on CT-32, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered opposing lanes and struck a vehicle head-on around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Montgomery was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The other driver was transported to Backus Hospital in Norwich by way of an ambulance, reports WFSB.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
