Trick Daddy Responds To Viral ‘Hair Loss Mugshot’ Claims Suffering From ‘Lupus’

MIRAMAR, FL. (THECOUNT) — Rapper Trick Daddy is responding after his mugshot from a recent drug arrest showed the his noticeable hair loss.

The now viral mugshot came to light after the 45-year-old was arrested Saturday for alleged cocaine possession.

In the photo, Daddy, whose real name is, Maurice Samuel Young, was shown displaying an odd hairline revealing noticeable hair loss around the frontal region of his head.

Now the rapper has come to his own defense saying he is afflicted with lupus, reports BlackAmericaWeb.

In the wake of the release of the mugshot, commenters and comedians poked fun at his expense prompting the following response:

“Let me get this right .. you lie on me .. make fun of the fact that I Have lupus … and all this just for likes .. thank god im strong .. everything is funny until it hits close to home .. my feelings don’t hurt easily I’m too worried about waking up tomorrow,” said Young on social media.

We did some checking, and while lupus causes a myriad of health issues, hair loss did not appear to be one.

“Lupus is a long-term autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal, healthy tissue. Symptoms include inflammation, swelling, and damage to the joints, skin, kidneys, blood, heart, and lungs,” according to MedicalNewsToday.

After his arrest, Young was taken to a police station, where officers allegedly found cocaine inside a dollar bill. He was arrested, facing one charge of felony cocaine possession.
