LUBBOCK, TX. (THECOUNT) — Gavin Andre Deleon has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday vehicle crash in Lubbock, Texas.
Deleon, 17, was named by Lubbock Police as the teenager who was killed Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash.
LPD said Deleon died following an Altima crash that occurred around 8:30 a.m. on North Loop and Quaker Avenue in Lubbock.
LPD says based on the initial investigation, it appears the Altima was westbound on Loop 289, when for unknown reasons, collided with an exit ramp guardrail.
Deleon was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
