ALEXANDRIA, LA. (THECOUNT) — A large contingent of law enforcement are working a scene Monday night in Alexandria, Louisiana, according to multiple reports.

The scene is playing out at Elliott Street near North MacArthur Drive in Alexandria on Monday.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, officers from RPSO, Alexandria Police, the FBI, and the ATF, along with Acadian Ambulance, are at the scene.

Police say there is no immediate threat to the public, and that precautionary action is being taken. Investigators are on the scene, and RPSO is working the perimeter.

The Monday incident following another incident last week in Alexandria in which an explosion took place outside of the former Buds and Suds last Thursday. The FBI and ATF took the lead in that investigation. On Saturday, federal agencies were also at an “active” scene on Jackson Street in a field adjacent to the Texaco gas station.
