BATON ROUGE, LA. (THECOUNT) — Louisiana Police have identified, Roy Banks, as the victim fatally shot late Monday afternoon at a Baton Rouge apartment building, according to reports.

Banks, 39, was killed in a shooting incident on Monday afternoon around 4:30 p.m., police said Tuesday morning.

The shooting occurred Monday at the Pine Square Apartments in the 2800 block of 2888 Dougherty Drive, Baton Rouge Police spokesman Sgt. L’Jean McKneely said and as reported by TheAdvocate.

Another individual was injured in the shooting, but declined to go to the hospital.

Information on what led up to the deadly incident was not provided by officials as of Tuesday morning.

No suspect information was provided by investigators.
