NEW YORK, NY. (THECOUNT) — A 60-year-old woman is dead after apparently being struck by debris of a building collapsed this morning in Times Square.

Officials say a facade gave way around 10:45 a.m. on 49th Street near Seventh Avenue in the area of 49 St Subway Station.

The 60-year-old victim was found lying on the sidewalk, reports NEWYORKCBS.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Her name has not been released pending family notification.
