UNICOI COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — A body found in Unicoi County is believed to be missing Tennessee man, Luc Vance, according to authorities.
Vance was reported missing by family members over a month ago.
According to Sheriff Mike Hensley, a private investigator working for the family of Luc Vance discovered a backpack belonging to Vance in a rugged area off Little Mountain Road. A body was found nearby, reports WCYB.
Hensley said the Vance family has been notified.
The body was taken to ETSU’s Quillen College for autopsy.
A cause of death was not provided.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office are handling the investigation.
