BRADFORD COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Lisamaray Marrero, of Starke, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash in Bradford County Friday.
Marrero, 21, was operating a vehicle near Hampton when she was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Friday night around 11:30 p.m.
According to reports, Marrero was operating a Honda US 301 near County Road 18, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes.
Marrero’s vehicle then broadsided a Toyota operated by 21-year-old Shauna Teresa Clifton, of Apopka, FL.
A freightliner truck swerved to avoid the crash, but also struck the side of the Toyota and then the Honda head-on, reports NewsJax.
Marrero was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Clifton was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
