CLEARLAKE, IA. (THECOUNT) — Henry Robinson, of Newnan, GA, has been identified as the wrong way driver in a double fatal crash near Clearlake, Iowa on Wednesday, according to officials.
Robinson, 30, was killed in an Interstate 35 crash along with the other driver, 52-year-old Bryon Hendricks, of Des Moines, Iowa.
According to officials, Robinson was operating a van the wrong way when he struck Hendricks’ vehicle head-on while traveling on I-35 near Clearlake on Wednesday morning around 9:30 a.m.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
A third car then hit Hendricks’ car, but officials say the driver was not hurt, reports KAAL.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
