ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — An Escambia County Sheriff’s deputy was reportedly shot and injured on Wednesday afternoon prompting a massive police response.
Just after 1:30 p.m. the sheriff’s office received a call about a suicide threat in the 400 block of Limerick Drive in Pensacola.
Once on scene, the suspect opened fire on responding deputies, and the deputies returned fire, the sheriff’s office said, reports WEAR.
