GA Man Eric Broomfield ID’d As Victim Found Shot Dead Inside Macon Vehicle Sunday

MACON, GA. (THECOUNT) — Eric Broomfield has been identified as the victim killed in a Sunday morning vehicle shooting in Macon, Georgia, according to reports.

Broomfield, 23, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds while inside his vehicle on Sunday morning around 8 a.m.

Investigators say, Broomfield was found fatally wounded inside in his 2003 GMC in an alleyway off Winton Avenue.

Broomfield was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Homicide Investigation On Winton Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was reported in the 1200 block of Winton Avenue. The incident was called in at 7:40 a.m Sunday morning.

It was reported that a call of a person down came into Bibb County Sheriff Office call center. When deputies arrived on scene they found a male dead from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. The male was later identified as 23-year-old Eric Broomfield of Macon. Investigators are continuing to investigate this incident in an attempt to determine the events surrounding this incident.

The next of kin was notified by Coroner Leon Jones. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
