LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — FedEx is investigating an incident involving one of their delivery drivers who being accused by a Los Angeles couple of flinging a delivery over their fence that struck and injured their 4-pound Yorkshire terrier so badly, the animal had to be put down.
Keiko Napier and Mitchell Galin‘s dog, “Cooper,” was in in their Venice, California backyard Saturday when a FedEx driver tossed a large box over their fence that contained crystalware and Christmas presents.
Galin says the heavy package landed on Cooper, leaving him in a puddle of blood.
The animal suffered lung and liver damage and had to be euthanized.
Napier says her grandchild and mother sometimes use the yard and the package could have struck and injured them. She wants FedEx to ban drivers from throwing packages.
FedEx says it will investigate and take appropriate action, reports KMPH.
