GA Fisherman Discovers Submerged Van With Man Inside While Visiting Lake Lanier

HALL COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — A Georgia fisherman says one of his worst fears was realized during a trip to Lake Lanier after he found a submerged vehicle with a deceased man inside.

The fisherman says he discovered a van with the body of a man deep inside the lake.

The man inside the van was reported missing for months, reports WBS.

The body found inside the vehicle is believed to be Van Dobbs who was last seen on June 5, authorities said.

“It was pretty, pretty eerie,” the fisherman said.
