POWESHIEK COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Teresa Sue VanZee has been identified as the Oskaloosa woman killed Tuesday in a three-vehicle crash in Poweshiek County, according to Wednesday reports.
VanZee, 55, was killed after a vehicle, operated by Matthew Morgan, 59, collided with a semi-truck on Iowa Highway 21 Tuesday.
Morgan’s Ford Focus was traveling near the 4700 block of Highway 21 in Poweshiek County, when for unknown reasons, his vehicle crossed the centerlines, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Richard Mortensen, 69, of Grinnell, was driving a 2019 Peterbilt Conventional semi southbound and attempted to avoid a collision by swerving right.
Morgan’s Focus made contact with Mortensen’s semi.
