PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Bowie Police are actively searching for an armed suspect who stormed and then took off in a marked FedEx box truck in Bowie, MD, on Monday morning.

Police say they are seeking a suspect, described only as a tall black male, who they say stole a FedEx truck at gunpoint Monday morning, leaving the driver on the side of the road.

It is unclear if the driver was injured in the incident which occurred in the 6000 block of Grenfell Place near Pope’s Creek Park in Bowie around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

The truck has a Maryland license plate reading 8CW3536 and is a 2014 Chevy box truck with FedEx markings, reports Fox5DC.
