MOORE HAVEN, FL. (THECOUNT) — Fabio Alejandro Ramos and Steve J. Nunes Jr., have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal motorcycle crash in Moore Haven, Florida over the weekend, according to local reports.
According to authorities, Ramos, 29, and Nunes, 26, both of Cape Coral, Florida, were killed when their motorcycles collided over the weekend.
According to the FHP, Ramos and Nunes were operating motorcycles traveling on a rural road when the fatal crash occurred.
At some point Nunes, who was riding a Ducati, made an improper U-turn into the direct path of Ramos’ 2017 BMW motorcycle, reports DFWCBS.
The collision caused both men to be ejected from their bikes.
They were both pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
FHP says Ramos was wearing a helmet, and Nunes was not.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the riders knew each other.
The crash remains under investigation.
