BOSSIER PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Alton Ross, of Princeton, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash Saturday night, according to reports.
Ross, 56, was killed around 8:30 p.m. Saturday while operating a vehicle on Winnfield Rd near Little League Road in Princeton, say police.
An early investigation into the cause of the crash determined, Ross was driving a Chevrolet Silverado on Winnfield Rd, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over.
Ross, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the Silverado, reports Arklatexhomepage.
Ross was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
