UNION COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Union County, South Carolina teen, Cole Harris, who was seriously injured in an explosion while sitting inside the Old English restaurant in Carlisle, has passed away from his injuries Saturday, according to reports.
Harris, 16, was waiting for his dad to finish mowing the lawn at the eatery, when the explosion occurred near Janie Glymph Goree Boulevard, in Carlisle, SC on July 13.
According to officials,
The Carlisle teen was rescued by family members who ran in to save him. Though, he sustained burns to about 92% of his body.
He was immediately transported from the scene to the Augusta Burn Center in Georgia, and has been treated there for the last few months, reports FoxCarolina.
Unfortunately, Cole passed away on October 12.
The Coroner says the Union County Sheriff’s Office, the Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department, the Santuc Volunteer Fire Department, and other agencies continue to investigate the incident.
