FEASTERVILLE-TREVOSE, PA. (THECOUNT) — Nine people were injured Sunday after a large tree came crashing down as a result of a lightning strike at Dolphin swim club in Feasterville-Trevose, PA, Pennsylvania.
The freak accident occurred just before 5 p.m. at the popular swim club located at, 260 W Bristol Rd, in Feasterville-Trevose, PA on Sunday.
Authorities say a tree crashed onto a tent pavilion injuring two adults and seven children.
Lightning struck the tree moments before the incident, reports ABC6.
Several victims were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Three people were severely injured, six others suffered minor injuries.
