GUILDERLAND, NY. (THECOUNT) — Two Guilderland police officers were injured while attempting to break up a fight between several women at Crossgates Mall in Guilderland on Saturday night, after a large crowd of youths turned against police at the “Get Air Trampoline Park.”

Two minors were detained and are now facing felony charges after Guilderland Police say they attacked two officers at Crossgates Mall while the officers were attempting to intervene in a brawl between multiple females attending the park.

A staggering 13 law enforcement agencies responded to a call of officers under attack on Saturday night.

Members of the police department were called to the popular trampoline park, located at, 1 Crossgates Mall Rd, in Albany, NY, before 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night on reports of a large crowd of 400-500 people gathering in the parking area.

As two officers attempted to break up a fight between several women, investigators say the cops were assaulted. Both officers suffered minor injuries, reports WNYT.

Two underage boys were arrested on felony assault, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass charges. They were sent home with their parents and referred to probation.
