CLINTON, MD. (THECOUNT) — Lincoln Maurice Carroll has been identified as the victim killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer Wednesday night in Prince George County.
Authorities say Carroll, 58, died after being run over by a semi-trailer overnight in Clinton, Maryland overnight after 11 p.m Wednesday.
The fatal incident occurred on Branch Avenue near Surratts Road in the Clinton area.
The driver of the tractor trailer told police that Carroll was lying in the roadway and suddenly stood up in front of the truck before being struck.
Carroll was pronounced dead at the scene of massive blunt force trauma injuries.
No charges are expected against the driver who remained on-scene and fully cooperated with police,
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, say authorities.
The incident is still under investigation.
