CLEVELAND, OH. (THECOUNT) — Michael Harrell has been identified as the Ohio man sought by law enforcement after he robbed a Cleveland bank on Monday.
Harrell, 54, walked into a U.S. Bank on Euclid Avenue around 11:10 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money.
The teller complied and Harrell fled the scene.
Investigator were able to identify Harrell after spotting his name and address printed on the back of the demand note which ended up being a recycled envelope.
“Harrell probably didn’t realize at the time that the note the passed to the teller also included his name and address, which led to a quicker than usual identification,” reports WMBFNews.
The amount of money stolen was not undisclosed by officials.
Law enforcement is now asking the public assistance locating Harrell who is described as a 5-foot-7 black male with a thin build and salt and pepper facial hair.
He was last seen at the location wearing a black T-shirt, baseball cap, long camouflage shorts and dark sneakers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police, the Cleveland FBI or Crimestoppers.
