ST. MARYS, OH. (THECOUNT) — Zoe Anne Lane has been identified as the teenage driver killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night in St. Marys, Ohio, according to officials.
Lane, 17, was operating a vehicle on OH-274, when the fatal crash occurred after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Police say, Lane was traveling on Route 274 near St. Johns Road, when for unknown reasons, she crossed centerlines and exited the roadway.
The vehicle then entered a ditch causing it strike a power pole, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s office.
Lane was ejected from the vehicle during the violent collision.
She was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The accident report states Lane was ejected from the vehicle and was deceased at the scene, reports TheEveningLeader.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
