TROTWOOD, OH. (THECOUNT) — Thomas Waters, of Trotwood, Ohio, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle early Tuesday morning.
Waters, 48, was on-foot in the area of West 3rd Street, near Victoria’s Country Inn in Trotwood, when he was fatally struck by a passing vehicle.
The crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 49 and West 3rd Street just after midnight, reports Fox45Now.
Officials say the driver of the vehicle had a green light when the victim crossed the street and was struck.
Investigators said the driver did not see Waters crossing the street.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
It’s unclear at this time if the driver will face charges.
No one was cited at the scene.
