PHENIX CITY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Beionca Bolden has been identified as the Columbus, GA, woman killed following a drive-by shooting in Phenix City last night.
Police found Bolden, 27, suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 1600 block of 1600 block of 20th Ave. Monday. Officials had responded to the area on a call of shots fired around 9:30 p.m.
Witnesses say a vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene of the “drive by shooting,” reports WTVM.
Bolden was pronounced dead at the scene after 11:30 p.m. of gunshot injuries.
Officials provided no vehicle or suspect description at this time.
Bolden’s body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensics for an autopsy.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact police immediately at 911.
Friends and family members took to Facebook to remember the beloved woman.
According to Facebook, Bolden was a teacher at Children’s World Daycare. She attended Virginia College, according to social media.
The investigation is ongoing.
