BROOKLYN, NY. (THECOUNT) — The daughter of Martin Scorsese, the legendary director worth at least $100 million, has launched a GoFundMe asking for donations after her Brooklyn apartment was flooded with ‘raw sewage.’
Catherine Scorsese‘s humble abode, a one-bedroom loft duplex in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which she bought in 2007 for $800,000, is now valued at over $1.2 million.
The 53-year-old cites a pesky neighbor for attempting to flush shredded paper down the toilet. The repairs are expected to take 4 months to complete.
Catherine was forced to relocate to an apartment in Manhattan that is being paid for by her insurance company but says it’ “not big enough” for her cats and dogs.
Her step-sister, Tanya, reportedly launched the GoFundMe campaign on her behalf so that she would be able to pay for the animals’ accommodation.
She is asking for $30,000 and has already raised $6,105 but some have criticized her for asking for help when her own family is so wealthy, reports DailyMail.
She has hit back, saying she does not rely on her father’s money.

Whose toilet did the neighbor flush shredded paper down, her own or Catherine's? And if it was her own, where does the neighbor live exactly?
