MOBILE, AL. (THECOUNT) — Corey Parsons has been identified as the suspect arrested Saturday in the death of a 3-month-old female infant in Mobile, Alabama.

Parsons, 29, was taken into custody after police responded to a Doyle Avenue residence around 8 p.m. Saturday in reference to a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, officials found a three-month-old female child suffering from a traumatic injury.

The baby was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

On Saturday, May 19, 2019 at approximately 8 p.m., Police responded to the 1300 block of Doyle Avenue in reference to a medical emergency. Three-month-old female infant was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. The investigation revealed that the child suffered from a traumatic injury, via MPD.

Peterson will be the child’s father, said MPD, but did not elaborate.
