LYNCHBURG, VA. (THECOUNT) — Dre’yon Ty’Shean Browley has been identified as the victim in a deadly shooting in Lynchburg, Virginia on Thursday.

“Biggs” Browley, 18, was killed and another unidentified teen hospitalized in critical but stable condition following a shooting at the Meadows Apartments Thursday evening.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 7:30 p.m. Thursday to find two male teens suffering from gunshot wounds at 2315 Yorktown Ave, in Lynchburg.

The suspect was captured in Campbell County three hours after the shooting by Lynchburg PD with assistance from the Campbell County Sheriff’s office. The suspect is a juvenile and has been charged with murder, malicious wounding, and two counts of the use of a firearm in commission of a felony, reports WSLS.

The high school will have additional support on site to help students and staff. A spokesperson for Lynchburg City Schools released this statement: “Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends.”
