HUDSON RIVER, NY. (THECOUNT) — A helicopter has crash landed in the Hudson River Wednesday afternoon after coming up short on the landing pad and ending up in the drink.

The pilot is believed to be the only person on board and is OK but the helicopter, not so much.

It happened in the vicinity of West 30th Street and the West Side Highway, according to 6ABC.

The pilot was reportedly able to land on the river and exited the helicopter.

The helicopter was floating, and the FDNY and NYPD managed to secure it and drag it to the shoreline.
