SANTA CLARITA, CA. (THECOUNT) — A stunt driver working for a movie production filming in Valencia crashed a movie car while performing a maneuver Friday. The crash involving a utility pole caused a nearly 15-hour power outage in the area.
The driver, who was uninjured, crashed the vehicle on Rye Canyon Loop, just 600 feet from where “Fast and Furious” actor, Paul Walker died in a fiery crash in 2013.
Paramedics responded to the emergency call found “no injuries” at the scene, reports SignalSCV.
Early Friday morning, Edison officials and crews with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works were called to the scene of a crash, officials said Friday morning.
Walker, 40, and his friend Roger Rodas, 38, were killed when the Porsche driven by Rodas smashed into a light pole and tree and then burst into flames Nov. 30, 2013, near Rye Canyon Loop.
A spokesman for the Santa Clarita Film Office said Friday that he was unable to describe what filming was being done at the time of the crash.
“At 1:40 a.m., we had an outage,” Edison spokeswoman Sally Jeun said Friday.
One Edison customer remained without power until 2:22 a.m., she said.
